Enchanted

Having been born and brought up in the tropical island of Sri Lanka, I have always been enchanted by the flowers of the rain-forests. Especially Heliconias and Torch Ginger. Also I have been a great fan of the renowned artist Senaka Senanayake whose works revolves around the rainforests of Sri Lanka. I have drawn inspiration from his paintings for this quilt. Most of the elements were constructed outside and then appliquéd to the base. I have used hand dyed material mostly. Some were coloured using Intense pencils and also acrylic paints.
